Stewart and Gracie are two cardinal birds. They live on a tiny island, in the middle of a lake, underneath a fir tree. Stewart and Gracie love the Christmas season. Every year they invite all their neighbors around the lake to come to their house for a Christmas Star Party. At the party everyone makes their own special star to put on top of their Christmas tree.
My niece Anna Young, who was 8 years old at the time, came up with all the names of Stewart and Gracie's friends. And she illustrated all of the beautiful pictures for the book.
